Description

I love my Country (EGYPT) So much it`s a great country and we have in Egypt many and many beautifull places

SHARM ELSHEIKH

Without a doubt, Sharm el Sheikh is one of the best diving destinations in the world.

It has always been a beautiful place, but never before has it been as famous and comfortable as it is today. Twenty years ago a diving trip was real adventurei. Divers had to accept a long trek through the desert and setting up camp at the beach before they could go for a dive.

Today, visitors are offered a variety of adventures and luxuries. Four and five star hotels like the Ghazala, Hilton, Mövenpick, Conrad, Mariott and many others are present. But in the background there is still the never-ending magnitude of the Sinai Desert.

The center of activities where most of the hotels and diving centers are located is Naama Bay, 7 km from the City of Sharm El Sheikh. Due to the great demand new accommodations are also available outside of Naama Bay, such as the Conrad International Resort in Ras Nasrani.

Numerous bars, restaurants, shops and the attractive Mediterranean promenade, have made Naama Bay a busy holiday resort. In the center of Naama Bay, arabic stile bazars, shops and coffee houses invite the visitor for a stroll and shopping for typical souvenirs and handicrafts. A variety of bars, discos and even a casino offer entertainment until late into the night.

Though diving is still one of the main attractions in Sharm el Sheikh, a lot of other water sports, excursions and activities are available. A camelride at sunset in the desert, visits to Mount Moses and the St. Katherine Monastery, excursions to the ancient City of Petra in neighboring Jordan or desert safaris with cross-country vehicles.

I like how professional this is! The colors work very well together and the overall feel is very clean and neat. I also like the suitcase with the island inside of it. Nice work!

Egypt is one of the exotic places...
Tho never been there, but I know a lot of it.
The architecture of Egypt and its history strikes me...
Your idea conveys it so much...

ps: thank you for the bottom of my heart for your pm's. It really touched my soul...Thank you very much

Allthough i like the concept, I think the background is still to dominant and dark. People could think of this to be cynical. I think you should brighten the blue about 20%. The typography is to ruggid for a purpose like this, and it's 'take your best', not 'most best'.
I know you wanted to show the suitcase content as a refreshing focuspoint in contrast to the environment of the target-group, but remember that the overall mood of the advertisement works on the mind aswell.

I like the backround --
it puts the center of attraction on the suitcase.
I also think you should leave out ( most ).
Nice work ---:)
btw --- thanks for the link>

Interesting that you put it into such a dark background. Makes it happy and sad at one time.

Avatar mccarlee

 05/17/05 @992

i really love the background (nice 'n grungy ;)); but i'd rather see you using a colorful background, regarding you used a colorful suitcase as well.
perhaps this would be boring, perhaps it's a better composition.
one way or another, it's taste. some people'd like this dark background, others don't :). use it as you like (or as your clients do ).

nonetheless, i really LOVE the background, typeface, and suitecase :).

if it wasn't for the composition, i'd say full marks :).

p.s.: don't think i believe i'm a better artist than you, though i might sound that way ;)
4/5...

 05/17/05 @031

cool! I like the contrast between the background and the suitcase. It really is a get away if your real life is a grungy background and then you can suddenly pop into egypt!! Where can I buy this suitcase??

I like the design. Interesting and eye catching. My only crit is the phrase you used..."Take your most best moments with you". Good idea but not proper English, which might confuse people if you are trying to get tourists from English speaking countries. My suggestion would be to change the word "most" to "very". Same number of letters, so it wouldn't change the look too much. Just a suggestion. Nice work though!

i really like the concept of this. its very creative. the background is awesome and the island sucase is also cool. colors are awesome too. my only problem is the text. the grunge effect is cool but it makes it really hard to read. maybe just tone down the grunge effect on the text for coherency. and the "most best" is a bit awkward. gj though overall.

Avatar DigitalDust

 05/18/05 @990

Got your PM.

I like the colors and overall feel, but not sure the grunge looks fits this idea - at least not the font.

Maybe you need to explain what your thoughts were behind doing it this way and "sway" my thinking! :)

i love the idea...
it s great!!
and....i agree with artoonator...
the typography is too violent for the subject
i m sure you ll find a softer one ( if you want to change it.. :) )
and i love the background , doesn t bother me at all... it brings a bit of mystery!!!
great mood!

 05/22/05 @808

Not a bad design, actually it's quite good. ;)
Just one thing though; the background looks okay, but when you start to think about what the commercial subject here is, I'm not sure if a dark background is the best choice. Sure, it's a really nice contrast, but you don't feel like going to Sharm el Sheikh unless you like horror movies.
Eh, okay, but the look to it is very good. Really. :)

I would' ve liked it more twenty years ago. :)

about the ad: nicely done. a piece of land in a suitcase, think I've seen that many times before, but this is done real good. the BG is ok. but the typography... I'm not so sure

Avatar Reko

 05/23/05 @842

Never been to Egypt, but your pic makes me want to. I'd love to see a different take on this concept where the suitcase is totally overflooded with all things egyptian. A burst of egyptian themes, water flowing over the suitcase etc. Still, in it's simplicity, it's a keeper.
